The Traditional Italian Fortune cards deck is another great deck in the “Old Cartomancy” line from Lo Scarabeo. The cards have a wonderful vintage look and feel with classic Italian imagery that capture the essence of what an the original was like. Like a traditional Spanish or Italian pack the deck consists of 40 cards divided into four suits: coins (Denari,swords (Spade), cups (Coppe) and clubs (Bastoni) The number cards range from one through seven. The "picture cards" in each suit are Knave (Fante), Knight (Cavallo), and King (Re).
Decks like this would have (and still are) used to play games like Scopa or Briscola and like Tarot decks, these 40 card decks were also used for divination and Fortune telling.
