Jacqus Burdel was the last artisan in a famous line of card makers founded by Claude Burdel in the city of of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is believed that Jacques' father and grandfather assisted in creating this fine Tarot and that the engraving was created by Jean Proche, a famous engraver of this period. This fine reproduction comes wrapped in a facsimile of the original packing sheet.
