James Ferrera has studied Tarot with Laetitia Barbier, author of Tarot and Divination Cards: A Visual Archive , at Morbid Anatomy, and Naha Armády, founder of 22 Teachings School of Hermetic Science and Magical Arts. He hosts Tarot Talk Show on Morbid Anatomy's Patreon where he draws Tarot cards to guide the conversation with his guests.
James is also an award-winning publicist in film and television. He has worked on modern-day genre hits such as Malignant ; The Conjuring 2 ; The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It ; Annabelle ; Annabelle: Creation ; Annabelle Comes Home ; The Nun ; The Curse of La Llorona ; Lights Out ; Insidious Chapter 3 ; Sinister 2 ; and Stephen King's The Boogeyman and Salem's Lot .
In 2019, James founded Pookie Helps through which he sells handmade "Pookie Bags" to raise money for animal rescue.
James has a BA in literature with a minor in philosophy from Loyola Marymount University, and an MFA/MPW in writing from the University of Southern California. He has been an adjunct professor at Emerson College in Los Angeles and is a regular guest speaker in classes at both Emerson and Elon University programs in L.A.
